Israeli Colonizers Uproot 190 Olive Saplings Near Salfit

Illegal Israeli colonizers invaded, Sunday, Palestinian olive orchards in the Khallet al-Qameh area in Kafr ed-Deek town, east of the central West Bank city of Salfit, and uprooted at least 190 saplings.

The Palestinians said the colonizers came from Alei Zahav illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands in the area.

They added that the colonizers uprooted at least 190 olive saplings, planted by the Palestinians 2-10 years earlier, and stole about forty of them, in addition to damaging an agricultural room owned by Najeh Harb.

Najeh Harb, Saleh Shonnar, and Ramadan ed-Deek own the invaded and uprooted orchards.

The orchards and farmlands in the area have been subject to escalating Israeli violations and aim at expanding illegal colonies.

Salfit Governor, Abdullah Kamil, said the ongoing crimes against the Palestinians and their lands continue to enjoy protection from the Israeli occupation army and the political leadership.

Kamil reiterated that all colonies are illegal under International Law and violate various United Nations and Security Council resolutions and the Fourth Geneva Convention. In addition, the colonies also constitute war crimes under International Humanitarian Law.
