Israel reduces Gaza fishing area to 6 nautical miles

Israel has reduced the permitted area for Gaza fishermen to practice their trade from 9 nautical miles off shore to 6 nautical miles. Palestine Fishermen’s Union President Nizar Ayyash on Monday told the PIC that they had been notified of the decision by Israeli occupation forces. Ayyash said that the reduction in fishing area will come into effect on Tuesday afternoon. Around 4,000 Palestinian fishermen work off the coast of the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli blockade, providing vital food to 50,000 people. A video released Sunday shows a large group of Israeli soldiers taking turns assaulting a Palestinian detainee in the West Bank city of al-Khalil, amid protests against US President Donald Trump’s recent declaration to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. IOF arrests Palestinian youth after crossing Gaza border fence

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Monday afternoon rounded up a Palestinian man after crossing the border fence north of Gaza Strip. A Hebrew source stated that the Palestinian was captured after “sneaking” into 1948 Occupied Palestine and that no guns were found in his possession. IOF carries out large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) at dawn Monday conducted a large-scale arrest campaign across the West Bank that included detaining the Islamic Jihad leader Khader Adnan. In Nablus governorate, IOF soldiers rounded up six Palestinians, mostly ex-detainees, after storming several neighborhoods in the city and Wadi al-Farea in addition to some nearby towns including Beit Forik, Madama and Tel.
