Israel reduces Gaza fishing area to 6 nautical miles

Israel has reduced the permitted area for Gaza fishermen to practice their trade from 9 nautical miles off shore to 6 nautical miles. Palestine Fishermen’s Union President Nizar Ayyash on Monday told the PIC that they had been notified of the decision by Israeli occupation forces. Ayyash said that the reduction in fishing area will come into effect on Tuesday afternoon. Around 4,000 Palestinian fishermen work off the coast of the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli blockade, providing vital food to 50,000 people. Dozens of Palestinians injured in Nablus, al-Bireh clashes

Dozens of Palestinians were injured as clashes broke with Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Sunday evening in three different areas in Nablus, north of occupied West Bank, in defense of occupied Jerusalem. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) affirmed that 52 people suffered different injuries during the clashes. Six people were injured after being shot with rubber bullets in Hawara checkpoint clashes, while an elderly man suffered breathing problems after inhaling teargas fired by IOF soldiers.
