11 Injured by rubber bullets and dozens of cases of suffocation during peaceful marches

11 civilians were injured by rubber-coated bullets and dozens of people suffocated with tear gas today, Friday, during the occupation’s suppression of the weekly marches in each of; Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya, and Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, in addition to the occupation’s suppression of two peaceful marches in the Ein Samia area in the village of Kafr Malik, and the eastern entrance to the village of Mughayir, east of Ramallah.

Correspondent in Qalqilya reported that a citizen was injured by rubber bullets from the occupation’s rubber, and dozens of others suffocated with tear gas, during clashes that broke out in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya, after the start of the week’s march towards the closed entrance since 2003.

Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation soldiers suppressed the participants in the weekly march in a brutal manner, and that they were deliberately firing tear gas canisters at homes near the clashes, in addition to using rubber and metal bullets and live bullets and setting ambushes among the olive trees to arrest the participants in the march. And the use of tear gas grenades resulted in mass suffocation among the elderly, women and children.

It is noteworthy that the occupation intelligence carried out an arrest campaign last week in the village of Kafr Qaddum, affecting a wounded young man, following the clashes that broke out last week.

And in Ramallah, 3 civilians were injured by the occupation’s rubber-coated metal bullets, and dozens of people suffocated with tear gas, today, Friday, during the suppression of the occupation, a peaceful march rejecting the establishment of a settlement outpost in the Ain Samia area in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah

The official news agency reported that dozens of citizens gathered in the middle of the village and headed to the lands of Ein Samia, but the occupation army prevented them from reaching the area, which led to the outbreak of confrontations during which the occupation soldiers fired bullets, gas and sound bombs, and a young man was injured with rubber-coated metal bullets in the foot. And dozens of cases of suffocation with tear gas.

According to Wafa, a member of Al Mughayir village, Marzouq Abu Naim, said that the occupation forces had stationed at the eastern entrance to the village, and prevented citizens, activists, and landowners from reaching the Ein Samia area, which is threatened by settlement, and participating in the weekly march.

He added that clashes broke out at the eastern entrance, wounding two young men with rubber-coated metal bullets and dozens of people with tear gas.

Every week, the area witnesses the launch of a peaceful march towards the Ain Samia area in Kafr Malik to protest against the theft of land and water, and the establishment of a new settlement outpost there.

In Nablus, 7 civilians were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets, and dozens suffocated with tear gas, during the occupation forces’ suppression of the weekly Beit Dajan march east of Nablus.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli occupation forces suppressed the participants in the weekly march that set out towards lands threatened with seizure in the village, wounding 7 civilians with rubber-coated metal bullets, and dozens of people suffocated.

The national action factions called on citizens to participate in the broadest, peaceful anti-settlement march.

The occupation forces stormed the village at dawn today and arrested three citizens.
