IOF shoots, arrests Palestinian near Gaza border

Pal arrested Gaza

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Thursday arrested a Palestinian young man and took him to a nearby investigation center after shooting him near Gaza border fence.

Local sources told Quds Press that Israeli forces used heavy live ammunition and teargas bombs before arresting the injured young man.

Earlier Thursday, another young man was hit and injured with a teargas bomb east of Khan Younis to the south of the Strip.

In addition to this incident, a group of Palestinian youths on Thursday morning dragged away the barbed wire set up by IOF back to their Awda camp, east of Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian youngster died on Thursday morning of wounds sustained on Friday after the Israeli army attacked protesters during the Great March of Return across Gaza’s eastern borders.

His death brings the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli military during the Great March of Return protests, initiated on March 30, to 50. Five casualties have had their bodies withheld by the Israeli occupation authorities.
