On Sunday, Day 254 of the ongoing genocide of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army killed and injured dozens of Palestinians, including children and women, in several parts of the destroyed coastal enclave.
Late at night, Sunday, the army fired many missiles and shells at an area around the Wadi Gaza area, northwest of the Nusseirat refugee camp, and bombarded an area near the Power Plant, north of Nusseirat.
The Israeli army fired a missile at a home for the Khatib family in the Al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza, killing five Palestinians, including a newborn girl, and wounding many others.
The army also fired a missile at a home for the Najjar family in the refugee camp, killing two Palestinians and wounding several others.
In related news, the Israeli Air Force fired barrages of missiles at homes and residential buildings in the Al-Mughraqa area, in central Gaza, leveling the buildings, and causing many casualties.

In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the army fired shells at a farmland in the Al-Manara neighborhood, east of the city, and another land in the Salam neighborhood, southeast of the city.
In Rafah, in Gaza’s southmost part, the army fired shells at the Al-Mawasi area, north of the city, killing at least one Palestinian and wounding several.
In addition, medics of the Civil Defense found the corpses of two Palestinians in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah after the army fired missiles into the area.
The army also fired a missile at a home near the Emirati Field Hospital, in the center of Rafah City.
In Gaza City, the army fired a missile at Palestinians in the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of the city, killing at least one Palestinian and wounding two.
In northern Gaza, an Israeli drone fired a missile at the Ghazi Shawwa School, where dozens of families sheltered, in Beit Hanoun, killing at least one Palestinian and wounding another.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army declared what is called a unilateral “tactical pause” between 8 in the morning and seven in the evening, reportedly to allow the distribution of aid in Gaza, yet, continued to bomb various parts of the coastal enclave.
The army also released the names of six soldiers who were killed in Rafah after their armored personnel carrier exploded, and the names of two other soldiers who were killed by Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip.
In addition, the army declared the death of one soldier during fighting in southern Gaza, and two others in northern Gaza, bringing the number of soldiers, killed since October 7, to 662, including 311, since Israel began the ground invasion and onslaught on October 27, 2023.
A preliminary investigation by the army revealed that Hamas fighters killed eight soldiers (Al-Jazeera English) in a military vehicle near Rafah, by firing a rocket-propelled grenade at it, and added that the defense system in the tank failed to stop the grenade.
The personnel- carrier was transporting soldiers from the Combat Engineering Battalion, responsible for wiring and detonating of dozens of homes and buildings in the Gaza Strip.
In addition, Al-Jazeera English said that the far-right former Israeli legislator, Moshe Feiglin, quoted Adolf Hitler when he discussed the occupation of Gaza and the explosion of the entire Palestinian population.
Al-Jazeera said that “in a video shared on social media, Moshe Feiglin said: We are not guests in our country. This is our country, all of it. As Hitler said, ‘I cannot live if one Jew is left’. We can’t live here if one ‘Islamo-Nazi’ remains in Gaza,” and added that “he wants to “turn Gaza Hebrew.”
The Palestinians, Sunday, marked the Al-Adha Muslim Eid in the ruins of Gaza, the destruction, famine, diseases and the absence of many of their loved ones across the coastal enclave.
The families went to graveyards and make-shift mass graves of slain, and graves marked with wooden planks, across the Gaza Strip, to mark the holiday despite the loss, displacement, and carnage.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said that the Israeli army “committed five massacres of families in several parts of the Gaza Strip, Sunday, killing at least 41 Palestinians and wounding 102, including many children and women.
Since early morning, Israeli planes have been attacking Palestinian civilians celebrating Eid al-Adha. Last hour, Israel bombed two houses in a Bureij refugee camp, killing dozens of children, women, and civilians.

Medical sources in northern and central Gaza said several children, including newborns, have died due to the lack of food, especially milk.
The head of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza said more than 50 children suffer from severe malnutrition and added that many children are beginning to show signs of malnutrition as hunger and the lack of supplies continue to spread across Gaza.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said that “Israel has killed, injured, or kidnapped approximately 8% of Gaza’s population, and made 85% of Gaza’s residents displaced, with over 75% of homes and infrastructure destroyed.”
Israel has now killed at least 37.337 Palestinians and injured more than 85.229, mostly women and children, in addition to thousands of missing Palestinians, largely under the rubble, in several parts of the destroyed Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023.
It is worth mentioning that, just two days earlier, the Palestinian Health Ministry said that the number of slain children in Gaza in at least 15.000, and the number of slain women, is nearly 10.000.
Despite some misleading reports that, instead of representing the whole United Nations statement, instead of picking and choosing segments, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has not been revised by the United Nations,
Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson of the United Nations secretary general, said the (2 days ago) that the number of slain Palestinians “remains unchanged,” and added that “a lower figure provided by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) represented only the number of slain Palestinians who have been officially identified.

Haq’s statements do not conflict with the figures presented by the Health Ministry as there are at least 10.000 slain Palestinians who are still to be officially identified.
Furthermore, Christian Lindmeier, a spokesperson for the World Health Organization (WHO), backed the 35,000 figure and added that “the fact we now have 25,000 identified people is a step forward.”
