Army Abducts Three Palestinians Near Ramallah

Israeli forces abducted, on Monday, three Palestinian young men in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah and Al-Biereh.

Media sources said that occupation forces invaded the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, and abducted Amr Saleh Abd Hamed, 20, and Moataz Ali Hajar, after breaking into and searching their homes.

After storming and searching the home of Mohammad Abdel Aziz Thabet Hamayel, 20, soldiers abducted him from the town of Kafr Malek, northeast of Ramallah.

Meanwhile, the army invaded the town of Ni’lin, west of the city, and the village of Deir Nidham, northwest of Ramallah, and roamed several neighborhoods’ no abductions were reported.

In related news, Israeli forces abducted a Palestinian woman in the city of Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the West Bank, stormed several homes, and interrogated their residents in various regions of the occupied West Bank.

In a statement by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), Israel continues to imprison 9,300 Palestinians in occupation prisons, including 250 children and 75 women, and not including the estimated thousands of detainees abducted from the Gaza Strip.

At least 3,400 of those held in Israeli jails are detained under Administrative Detention, which is defined by Addameer as “a procedure that allows Israeli occupation forces to hold prisoners indefinitely on secret information without charging them or allowing them to stand trial.”
