10 Palestinians kidnapped

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Sunday kidnapped about 10 Palestinian citizens, including a prisoner’s mother, from their homes in different West Bank areas.

The Israeli army said in a statement that its forces stormed Kobar village in Ramallah and arrested the mother and brother of the Palestinian young man who carried out a deadly stabbing attack in Halamish settlement on July 21.

Eight Palestinian citizens were also arrested during raids on homes in the towns of Bir Nabala and Biddu (Jerusalem), Taqua town (Bethlehem) and Beit Ula (al-Khalil).

The army statement claimed that its forces found and seized an M16 rifle after searching a vehicle at the Reihan crossing near Jenin and detained the driver for interrogation.

They also found two other weapons during raids in az-Zawiya town, west of Salfit, without giving further details.

In Nablus, the IOF stormed three towns in the north, and set up a makeshift checkpoint on a road near Shafi Shomron military base in Deir Sharaf town, where soldiers embarked on intercepting Palestinian citizens and checking their IDs.
