Dozens of Palestinian worshipers suffered injuries and many others were detained after Israeli police forces attacked them following their performance of the Isha prayer at the Bab al-Asbat area outside the Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday evening.
The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter in Occupied Jerusalem said that policemen intensively fired rubber bullets, and stun and tear gas grenades at the worshipers, many of whom suffered different injuries.
The Red Crescent said that its paramedics provided on-site medical assistance to 13 Palestinians who sustained bullet injuries and transferred three others, including a girl child, to al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem.
Police officers also rounded up journalist Fayez Abu Armila after physically assaulting him as he was covering the events at Bab al-Asbat area. Six other citizens were also arrested during the events.
