1391 settlers stormed al-Aqsa June

1,391 Israeli settlers stormed holy al-Aqsa Mosque, in Occupied Jerusalem, in June, according to a report by the Jerusalem Center for Israeli/Palestinian Studies.

The Jerusalem Center said 1,391 Israeli settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque in June, among whom 50 soldiers, two intelligence officers, 50 policemen, and 272 students.

In June 2016, 1,282 Israeli settlers stormed the site.

Israeli break-ins at al-Aqsa have seen an upsurge since the start of holy Ramadan. The Israeli forces closed the site before Muslim worshipers and cracked down on the peaceful sit-inners. Dozens of Muslim worshipers have also been banned from Occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa.

During the first week of Ramadan, 205,000 Muslim worshipers managed to perform Friday prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque.
