Tension soars as Israeli troops cordon off eastern Nablus

The Israeli occupation forces at daybreak Wednesday cordoned off eastern Nablus and set up ambushes and checkpoints near Elon Moreh settlement outpost.

According to eye-witnesses, Israeli army patrols have been spotted since the early morning hours near the main entrances to Nablus’s towns of Beit Furik, Beit Dajan, and Salem.

A set of ambushes was set up by the occupation soldiers near the bypass road leading to the illegal Israeli settlement of Elon Moreh.

The native Palestinian inhabitants of Beit Dajan said a flying checkpoint was pitched by the Israeli forces at predawn time on the western foothill, facing the aforementioned settlement outpost.
