3 Palestinians shot, Israeli police officer critically wounded in Jerusalem stabbing

Damascus Gate

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Israeli police reported on Friday evening that a stabbing attack took place outside the Damascus Gate entrance to the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, saying that one Israeli police officer was critically injured, while the three attackers — who police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld referred to as “Arab terrorists” — were shot.

Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri said the attackers were “neutralized” — the term used in Israel to refer indifferently to when a Palestinian has been injured or killed. The identity of the three Palestinians remained unknown.
Al-Samri added that investigations were ongoing.
