A Palestinian young man died of fatal injuries on Monday evening during violent clashes between local residents from Kafr Qasim city, east of Tel Aviv, and Israeli policemen.
The young man was rushed in critical condition to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where he was pronounced dead after doctors failed to save his life.
Many citizens in the city also suffered injuries during the events.
The local young men, who were protesting a string of recent unresolved murders in the city, set some police cars on fire.
According to some reports, an emergency situation was declared in the city.
Kafr Qasim was the site of a 1956 massacre in which Israeli police troops killed 49 of the village’s residents, including 23 children.
