RAMALLAH (Ma’an) — Israeli forces detained at least 15 Palestinians in raids across the occupied West Bank before dawn on Monday, including four minors and the son of a Palestinian man killed by Israeli forces last year who committed a deadly shooting attack in occupied East Jerusalem.The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said in statement that four Palestinians were detained from the central occupied West Bank district of Jerusalem, including one minor.The detainees were identified as Mahdi Alqam, an underage boy named Ahmad Salaima, and Baraa Issa, who is from the village of Anata, and Sbeih Abu Sbeih, son of Misbah Abu Sbeih, whose body is still being held by Israeli authorities after being killed last October.An Israeli army spokesperson only confirmed one detention in the Jerusalem area, saying that it was carried out in the village of Kafr Aqab.In al-Jalazun refugee camp in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah, 17-year-old Mahmoud Abd al-Majid Salah was detained, PPS said.However, an Israeli army spokesperson said two Palestinians were detained in al-Jalazun.The PPS statement also said that in the southern occupied West Bank, Israeli forces detained 17-year-old Mumin al-Amour in the village of Tuqu in the Bethlehem area, which was confirmed by an Israeli army spokesperson who said that another Palestinian was detained in the Bethlehem district village Arab al-Rashayida.PPS also said that 28-year-old Ahmad Maher Qaisiya was detained in the Hebron area village of al-Dhahariya after his house was raided, which was confirmed by the Israeli army.Meanwhile, sources from the Palestinian liaison’s office said that Israeli forces detained and interrogated 28-year-old Fares Nabil Hafeth al-Rajabi for several hours near the town of Zif south of Hebron, before finally releasing him.Locals added that Israeli forces installed a number of military checkpoints in the Hebron area, at the entrances to the villages of Yatta, Zif, al-Fawwar refugee camp, Dura, Bani Naim, and the Wadi Joz neighborhood of Hebron City, with Israeli forces stopping Palestinian vehicles, checking identity cards of passengers, and taking pictures of some of the IDs.In the village of Asira al-Shamaliya in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces detained brothers Hazem and Assem Hamadna, according to PPS. An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed two detentions were made in the village.Local sources in the northernmost district of Jenin said that Israeli forces also detained Khaled Asuss from the town of al-Asa Asa.Separately, Israeli forces held 18-year-old Yousif Mahmoud Hamarsha and 14-year-old Ahmad Hamarsha for more than two hours at an Israeli checkpoint installed at the entrance of the Jenin-area town of Yaabud late Sunday night, locals said.Israeli raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

The United Nations recorded an average of 95 weekly raids in the occupied West Bank in 2016, and an average of 67 raids a week so far 2017.
According to prisoners’ rights group Addameer, 6,300 Palestinians were held in Israeli prisons as of April, including 300 minors, 61 women, and 500 under administrative detention — Israel’s contested policy of imprisonment without charge or trial.
