The Asra Media Office (AMO) has strongly denounced the Palestinian Authority (PA) for cutting off the salaries of many ex-detainees and their families.
In press remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) on Sunday, AMO director Abdul-Rahman Shadeed affirmed that the PA stopped monthly payments for a large number of ex-detainees and their families, describing the step as “unprecedented” and “a moral and national crime.”
“Is this how released prisoners are treated after they spent the bloom of their youth in the occupation’s jails,” he said.
Shadeed warned that the coming days would see protest steps against the PA and its decision to sever salaries of ex-detainees.
