Overnight clashes with Israeli soldiers in Qaryut town

The Israeli army stormed late Friday Qaryut town, south of Nablus, and engaged in skirmishes with local young men.

A local activist reported that violent clashes broke out in the town after a large number of Israeli soldiers aboard military vehicles were deployed in its neighborhoods.

He added that the soldiers attacked local young men with tear gas and stun grenades before midnight and injured several of them.

Israeli military patrols were also deployed in the central district of Huwara town, south of Nablus, and at its northern entrance, with no known reason.

In addition, a makeshift checkpoint was set up by soldiers near Beita town, close to the southern entrance of Huwara town.

No arrests have been reported during this army campaign in Nablus towns.
