Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian house in al-Khalil
A group of Israeli settlers set fire on Tuesday to a Palestinian house southeast of Yatta town to the south of al-Khalil.
The local resident Othman Abu Qbeita told the PIC reporter that a number of Israeli settlers from Beit Yatir illegal settlement set fire to his brother’s house.
“Fortunately, my brother’s family members were not at home when the arson attack took place,” he said.
A group of settlers was seen fleeing the scene after setting fire to the house, he continued.
He called on official bodies and rights groups to intervene for protecting his brother’s family and providing them with the immediate assistance after being homeless.
In late July 2015, a similar settler arson attack took place in Duma town, south of Nablus. The 18-month-old Ali Dawabsha and his parents were killed in the attack, while his 4-year-old brother survived the attack after suffering third-degree burns.
