Chinese minister of Foreign Affairs, Yang Jaiche, declared Monday that China support the Palestinian-UN bid for statehood, the Palestine Information & News Agency (WAFA) reported late Monday. “China always supports the Palestinian just cause, and it supports them to obtain full membership at the UN and implementing the two-state solution through political negotiations and establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state” the Chinese minister said during his speech to the UN General Assembly. “Palestinian independence should be based on 1967 borders with East of Jerusalem as its capital,” he added. RAMALLAH (Ma’an) — PLO Executive Committee member Taysir Khaled said Sunday that all agreements signed with Israel would be reviewed. Israel’s Peace Plan Is A Grand Illusion

Anna O’Leary Israel’s current policies are at odds with American national interests and certain core American values. (DUBLIN) – The portrayal of Israel as primed for peace and Palestine hell bent on war was debunked at the United Nations. Until now the official version of the story had more holes in it than Swiss cheese. Netanyahu is but the latest in a line of Israeli prime ministers who seek ‘peace’ … Continue reading Israel’s Peace Plan Is A Grand Illusion

Robert Fisk: Why the Middle East will never be the same again

And they will establish for the Arabs what Israel likes to call – when it is enlarging its colonies on stolen land – “facts on the ground”: never again can the United States and Israel snap their fingers and expect … Continue reading Robert Fisk: Why the Middle East will never be the same again
